About Us

Our Mission:  The Adult Immunization Coalition of Central Ohio is a collaborative effort of concerned partners committed to reducing the burden of vaccine preventable diseases by educating healthcare providers and the public, and encouraging the implementation of programs to increase adult immunization rates.

Our Vision:  The Adult Immunization Coalition of Central Ohio will be instrumental in assisting Central Ohio communities to attain the national Health People immunization goals.

The Adult Immunization Coalition of Central Ohio started in 2001 as the Central Ohio Influenza Coalition.  Over the years the Coalition has grown to include healthcare providers and social service agencies from all over Central Ohio, vaccine manufacturers, Medicare associated agencies, interested individuals, and the Ohio Department of Health.  We are proud to say that we have sought and been awarded grant funding in the last several years from the Franklin County Commissioners, the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation, and the Franklin County Office on Aging to provide influenza vaccine to thousands of low income adults. In the future, we hope to expand that vaccine availability to pneumonia and tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis vaccine.
